A Qiyas GAT math formulas cheat sheet should help you choose a method, not simply remember a symbol. A percentage formula is useless if you use the wrong starting value. An area formula gives the wrong answer when the question asks for a boundary length.

Percentage change: identify the original value
Write this relationship in words: change divided by original value, multiplied by 100. If a price rises from SAR 120 to SAR 150, the change is SAR 30. The percentage increase is 30 ÷ 120 × 100 = 25%.
Dividing by 150 instead answers a different comparison. Beside the formula, write “denominator = starting amount.” That short condition is more useful than another decorative box around the equation.
For a decrease, a multiplier can be quicker. A 15% discount leaves 85% of the original price. An item costing SAR 200 therefore becomes 200 × 0.85 = SAR 170.

Averages: recover the total first
The mean equals total divided by count. Rearranging gives total = mean × count. Suppose six practice scores have a mean of 70. Their total is 420. If a seventh score is 84, the new mean is 504 ÷ 7 = 72.
Do not average 70 and 84 directly: one represents six scores and the other represents one. On your sheet, attach “equal weights?” to any shortcut involving averages.
Geometry: make the units part of the answer
For a rectangle, area = length × width, while perimeter = twice the sum of length and width. A rectangle measuring 9 metres by 4 metres has area 36 square metres and perimeter 26 metres.
A useful check is dimensional: area needs square units; perimeter needs ordinary length units. Before calculating, mark whether the question concerns a surface, a boundary, or a distance across the shape.
Ratios: count the parts before dividing
If 35 tickets are divided in a ratio of 2:5, there are seven equal parts. Each part contains five tickets, so the groups receive 10 and 25. A ratio describes a relationship; it is not automatically a fraction of the whole until you count all parts.
Keep the sheet short enough to use
Use Qiyas GAT quick reference alongside your own worked examples. Give each entry three elements: the relationship, the condition that makes it applicable, and one small numerical check.
Cover the example and solve it again with different numbers. If you can reproduce the formula but cannot explain its denominator or units, that entry still needs work. Remove formulas you already use reliably, and reserve the visible space for distinctions that actually cause mistakes.
